Towards the end of his essay” from Homer to Herodotus”, James Romm refers to Herodotus’ dicussion of the “helen in Egypt myth.” according to that myth Helen did not exactly go to Troy with Paris. Where did she go instead? what is Herodotus implicating here? and if Helen was not in Troy, then why did the Greeks, as we saw in Homer, spent ten years fighting to get her back?
