Forms used by Britten & Bach

Write an essay on the differences and similarities between the two forms used by Britten in his composition, Guide to the Orchestra. In it you will want to define the two forms used: Theme and Variations and Fugue; and then discuss how he uses these two forms to introduce instrumental character and teach the sound of the orchestral instruments.

Then discuss how J.S. Bach uses the fugue form in his Little Fugue in G minor. How does he use the form?
