Kantianism

Critically evaluate Kantianism. Do you think this is a plausible theory? What difficulties does this theory face? Do you think these difficulties are insurmountable? Explain your answer.
Suggested Procedure: First, state Kant’s (attached) theory. Next, explain Kant’s argument for the Categorical Imperative. Then, explain the objections to Kant’s theory that Rachels (The Elements of Moral Philosophy, 6th edition, by James Rachels) considers. Finally, explain whether you think the objections raised by Rachels are fatal.
Remember: You will be graded on your understanding of the matierial and the quality of the reasons advanced for your thesis statement. Your thesis should indicate whether you think Kant’s theory is plausible.
