The purpose of this assignment is to apply the concepts and theories of leadership and management to the analyses of leadership by a famous or well known leader that is especially interesting to me. Discuss what her leadership style is and what theory of leadership she best fit.
It must include:
– what is leadership and the difference between management;
– who is the leader I chose and her background (Indira Gandhi);
– her leadership style and compare with other ones;
– identify specific behaviors and refer to relevant theories to explain why the behaviors and actions were appropriate or inappropriate in the situations faced by the leader;
– strengths and weaknesses of Indira Gandhi and how the leaders actions and behavior influence the relevant followers and their organisations
