“Messiah, There Were Shepherds, Glory to God” by G. Handel

“Messiah, Hallelujah Chorus” by G. Handel

Your composition analysis must be 750-1000 words. The following elements should be included in your analysis:

1. Discuss some of the various aspects of the piece — form, melody, harmony, texture, sound, instrumentation, text, musical style.

2. An overall evaluation of the music you heard. What did you like? What did you not like? And more importantly, why? Be sure to use musical terminology to explain your ideas and evaluation.
