Reflection Paper: Sociology of food

Think about how the experience of getting food from a grocery story is different from getting food from a food bank. What messages about food are conveyed in a typical grocery story? What messages about food are conveyed through food banks. Does the existence of food banks convey particular ideas about appropriate responses to hunger and inequality? Write a coherent, short response that addresses these questions. Relate your response to what you have learned in the readings (and lectures, if you choose) about the causes of, and potential solutions to, food insecurity.
