Analysing a poem

1.Paper must cite at least 2 scholarly sources.
a.A scholarly source that has undergone a peer review process before it has been published.
b.In general, published books on your topic from an academic library will be scholarly sources. Also, as a rule of thumb, journal articles that have a list of works cited or contain footnotes will be scholarly source
2.You may choose 1, 2, or 3 poems to write about.
a.If you choose to write about a single poem, you will explicate that poem, discussing the meaning of that particular poem.
b. If you choose to write about 2 or 3 poems, there must be a strong connection between the poems. They must have something significant in common such as theme, character, symbol, imagery, etc. that you will then compare and/or contrast.
