Topic: You are to write a personal narrative that recounts a time when you made a difficult decision that
you later regretted.
Directions: 1. Your essay shall adhere to the the format of a narrative essay, meaning it must:
a. have an introductory paragraph(s) that include(s) an EYE-CATCHER and a
THESIS STATEMENT
b. body paragraphs that contain the story itself (remember a story needs a
beginning, middle, and end)
c. A conclusion that restates your key points and offers insight
2. The essay must be typed and set up according to MLA style guidelines (as
discussed in class and outlined in the book), printed in black ink, and either
stapled or clipped in the left hand corner.
3. The essay must be no less than three (3) complete pages typed and no more than
four (4) pages.
