Analyze a current social issue through the lens of administrative law. Select a current social topic that you are interested in. Write a paper explaining how that issue was or is being resolved through the administrative law process. Topics can include taxes, the environment, immigration, worker safety, international trade, health care, transportation, public welfare, education, or any other issue that administrative agencies deal with. The issue can be at the state or local level and must be handled through the administrative law process.

Your paper must have a strong legal component to it, and should be narrowly written about a specific issue and how the administrative law process dealt with that issue. For example, if you select the topic of immigration, don’t write on this topic in general terms but select a specific issue, like the proposed Department of Homeland Security E- Verify, Web-based system that electronically verifies the employment eligibility of newly hired employees.
