Media’s influence on adolescent behaviors

In the last several years, there have been shifts in the way that mainstream media has portrayed adolescent sexuality, gender identity and gender roles, and sexual orientation. Your task is to choose a topic (teen pregnancy, LGBT issues or attitudes toward LGBT teens, femininity/masculinity, etc.) and to examine the effects of media on adolescent behavior and attitudes toward this topic.

Please use three academic  articles that have been published since 2010. You may choose any type of media – TV shows, computer games, social media, etc.
