Your mission in this class is to create a grant proposal for an educational public health program with one of the following two missions:
To provide comprehensive sexuality education and prevention services to teens and young adults.
To provide support and education for teen parents, their babies, and their families.
You are strongly encouraged to keep issues related to the psychological development of older children and young adolescents in mind when planning, as well as the differences between them and older adolescents or young adults.
Your final version of the grant proposal will be an outline that features:
-the overall goals of your program.
-the population that you will serve.
-the services that you will provide.
-the rationale for those services as related to the goals of the program.
-descriptions of where and how each service will be delivered.
For your first installment, just identify the option of your choice and state your general goals (these can be changed later if you wish). You might want to also have in mind a tentative target population or community (again, you can change this between Modules 2 and 3 if you wish).
Here are two grant writing sites to give you an idea of how your proposal should be constructed. I am sure you can find many additional sites like these on the web.

Suggested length of first installment should be 3 to 4 pages typed and double-spaced.
