Multicultural Perspectives

Imagine that a health center that serves a multicultural, diverse population. The center offers family planning consultation, pre-marital counseling, family counseling, and vaccinations, as well as health screenings and consultations for diabetes, HIV/AIDS, and blood pressure. You have been asked by the directors to deliver a one day in service training on sensitivity to multicultural and diversity. Your syllabus should include:

General issues about multicultural and diversity issues
Guidelines for dealing with mental or physical health delivery services at this clinic as noted above, in related to at least three of the following groups: Asian Americans, Hispanics and Latino Americans, Middle Eastern Americans, Conservative Christian individuals, Gay and Lesbian individuals
Your syllabus should be in outline form, describing the important points you plan to cover. Be sure to include a list of at least ten references for the staff at the center to refer to for further information. Your reference list should include at least five articles published in peer reviewed journals in the past five years and up to three scholarly websites.

Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic.
