Assignment #1: Preservation of Physical Evidence
You are assigned to write a report on any of the investigative methods and tools discussed in the first 3 weeks of class. Find a minimum of five articles, papers or other material using the Internet, library or other reliable sources on one of the following specific investigative methods or tools:

Crime Scene Search Principles

Crime Scene Photography

Sketching the Crime Scene

Fingerprint Evidence

Trace Evidence

Biological Evidence

Write a summary of each of the sources in your own words following the assignment requirements listed below.

Assignment Requirements:

* Cover sheet that contains the course name (Crime Scene Investigation), the title (Assignment#1), your name, and date
* Name your Word file in this format: lastname_Assignment1.doc
* Proper use of spelling, grammar and paragraphing
* A Works Cited Page as the last page, which includes all relevant information about your sources including author name(s) if known, and if the source in an Internet one, the date of retrieval and a full URL. (See APA Style Tutorial in Course Home – Syllabus for reference.)
* This assignment should be 3 to 5 pages in length (1000 words minimum).
