This assignment calls for more in-depth analysis of all the readings for the week it is due. I expect that you will refer to the readings, as well as include quotations and paraphrases to substantiate your arguments. Papers should include a works cited page (or reference page if it is APA).
Possible responses include, but are not limited to: responding to the threaded discussion questions in more depth; disagreeing with the ideas contained within the readings; agreeing with and showing examples of the ideas contained within the readings; synthesizing those ideas into other concepts in our readings or in contemporary culture, such as other media; taking the ideas presented to a logical (or illogical) extreme. What you don’t want to do is simply summarize the readings. You must go beyond that to obtain a good grade.
