A thorough literature review focused on the problem of motivativation/job satisfaction of public personnel (i.e. govt. & nonprofit employees). The literature should evolve over four stages: problem formulation, literature search, data evaluation, and analysis and interpretation. During the formulation stage identify the problem and identify it’s component parts. Next, review scholarly literature related to the problem of keeping motivation amongst public employees. Then identify any gaps in the literature by critically evaluating the current state of the literature. Be sure to address the following questions: Within the literature have previous scholars examined the ideas of public service withinthe context of the issue? Include an analysis of the quantity and quality of that examination and make recommendations for how to apply those values to the issue.
