Writer’s choice

The story should:
-contain at least two characters, a discernible setting, dramatic tension or conflict, and a clear beginning, middle and end.

-have a clear beginning, middle and end, a conflict that’s driving your story, a sense of urgency and there needs to be a climax and resolution.

-have a clear narrative arc (conflict, crisis, resolution)

-develop characters physically and emotionally

-utilize a balance between showing/telling and scene/summary. Don’t telling too much. Showing the story is much better.

-exhibit consistency of point of view, style, and voice

-have Narrative Elements: Characterization, POV, Voice, Setting/Scene, Plot
