Operational Plan
Since pork is not a meat option due to the Muslim practices, beef is marketable in all of the Muslim countries especially those countries in the United Emirates. Consequently, there is a lot of competition with this region due to the local production and imports from other countries. This business is going to be set in Oman, due to the availability of a market and agriculture land. It is going to be dealing with the production of raw Angus beef only. Other productions will be included once the business stabilizes in the Market. According to statistics, Oman self-supplies beef only 46% of its consumption thus increases our marketing chances.
The exact production land will be in 100 hectares of land in Wilayat of Bidiyah. However, the sales offices will be in Muscat. Apart of being the capital city, Muscat has more marketing opportunities both local and international. It has other resources that will be advantageous to the business. Although the distance between the production area and the sales offices is big, the current technology will overcome most of the challenges.
